De Palestijnse vlag was vroeger de vlag van de Arabische nationale beweging. In 1948 is hij tot Palestijnse vlag uitgeroepen. De kleuren gaan terug naar oude tijden: de tijd van de Profeet Mohammed (zwart), de Khawarij (rood), de Omayyaden (wit) en de Fatimiden (groen).

Verwoestingen, verwoestingen en nog meer verwoestingen

Yeela Raanan van de Regional Council for Unrecognized Villages bericht over voortgaande verwoesting van bedoeïeneneigendommen in zuid-Israel door het israelische leger. RCUV heeft met succes geijverd voor Israelische erkenning van deze bedoeienendorpen, maar dit blijkt geen garantie te zijn voor het recht van de inheemse bedoeIenen er te leven. De naburige joodse kibutzim mogen uitbreiden zoveel ze willen.

 

 

 

 

Tuesday June 16, 2009 the Government of Israel demolished:



1. the foundations of a home in the recognized village of Um Batin

2. the tin hut of a man from the village of al-Baht. He married and moved into his home last month.

3. the outhouse of the mosque of Amra-Tarabin

4. a house of a young man in Qatamat. And for good measure-

5. destroyed the tin laying on the ground of an already dismantled home of another young man in Qatamat.

6. the fence dividing between one house and another in the recognized village of Al-Qrein – A-Sayed.



On Monday, May 25th, the Government of Israel uprooted 250 fully grown olive trees belonging to the Hamamda family in the village of Wadi Naam.

Why???



On Wednesday, Monday 20th, the Government of Israel demolished:



1. the mosque in Wadi Naam – now for the 2nd time.

2. the daycare for the children in Rahame

3. the home of a young man from abu-Romana



Why???
