Twintig dagen misère in Gaza

Humans, plants and stones are the daily targets of the Israeli military machinery. For 20 concessive days, Israel did not stop its bombardment for all parts of the Gaza strip. The Israeli declaration of a daily three-hour cease fire for humanitarian purpose is a mere lie!
Several people were killed during this alleged cease fire. The early morning of the 20th day of the insane war Israel is launching against the Palestinians witnessed a horrible massacre committed against a mother and her three children in the north of Gaza. Israeli warplanes targeted their home with at least a one ton rocket and consequently killed the four innocent people.
Thunderous explosions rock the city of Kahn Younis where I live. Many ambulances rushed to the eastern outskirt of the city to evacuate the killed and injured people. More than fifteen houses were totally demolished and many were partially destroyed. Massive bulldozers flattened the area where the houses existed. The topographic relief of the area was remarkably changed to the extent that anyone who used to live there for several years and was away during the period of the war would not recognize that this is the neighborhood he was raised in!
Fierce clashes can clearly be heard between the resistance fighters and the Israeli army while the white phosphorous bombs light the area and cover it with a white carpet of poisonous smoke. This newly infamous lethal weapon which has a magnificence view has harvested the lives of some people in various parts of the Gaza strip.
The elderly can barely control their nerves due to the abnormal situation they live in. Childrenʼs fear doubles the misery of their parents especially at night. The sounds of the huge explosions at night is geminated as darkness and roaring warplanes that shower the area with deadly shells are integrated to form the most frightening atmosphere children can ever experience.
Gaza inhabitants eagerly look forward to any positive stand the International community may take to halt the frantic ongoing war Gaza is subjected to. So far, many Gazans expressed their anger upon the shameful stands of some Arab governments that failed to even gather to issue one single decision that condemns the Israeli brutal attacks. Gazansʼ anger extends to reach the European countries and the UN that refused to denounce the Israeli deadly atrocities and the many massacres committed with cold blood that claimed the lives of more than 1045 people so far. We do wonder what victimsʼ number would it take that might encourage the UN to adopt a condemnation for what has happened and is still happening in Gaza. The carnages, massacres and blood baths in Gaza ignite rancor and grudge. They also increase hatred against the Israelis and the silent connivers who motionless behold us while being slaughtered!
Todayʼs Israeli attack against a building where a group of Palestinian reports working for international press agencies as well as targeting the UN main headquarter in Gaza obviously prove beyond doubt that Israel leadership attaches no importance and brushes aside the UN resolutions and Europe calls for an immediate stoppage for its barbaric massacres as if it were saying to the International community SOD OFF!
