Nablus, 11. April
Israeli Troops Threaten to Demolish House of Deceased Fighter
During last night's invasion of Nablus at 4.30 am, Israeli troops
took over the house of Abu Raid, the father of the deceased
Palestinian fighter Raid Al Khalili, and told him that the house
would be demolished. Raid died during clashes with the Israeli
military Friday when a bullet was accidentally fired from his own
gun.
While in the house the soldiers deployed explosives, vandalizing the
house by breaking doors, windows, the bathroom and kitchen, and
breaking the furniture.
During the raid the military arrested ten young men, closely related
to the deceased Raid Al Khalili, including a brother and his blind
cousin.
The military left the area at around 11 am. It is still unclear
whether the house is still slated for demolition or if this is just
a threat by the Israeli soldiers present.
